Frequently asked questions

What is Strive?

Strive Competitive Series is a French-speaking platform for free 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 Rocket League tournaments. You sign up solo, with your team or as a free agent; the site publishes the bracket, handles check-in and scores, and every placement earns Prestige in the Prestige Ranking.

Are Strive's Rocket League tournaments free?

Yes. Entering every tournament is free: all you need is a Strive account and your Epic Games username.

Do I need a team to play?

No. You can sign up solo in 1v1, with your team in 2v2 or 3v3, or as a free agent: captains of incomplete teams can then invite you.

What skill level do I need?

All levels are welcome. The bracket is balanced by peak MMR: the favourites don't meet in the first round.

How does a tournament work?

The bracket is announced one hour before. When the tournament starts, each match has a 10-minute check-in, then you join the private match generated by the site and report the score.

Which tournament formats are available?

By default, the format depends on the number of entrants: Swiss under 6 teams, round robin at 6, single elimination above. The number of games (BO3, BO5…) is set by each tournament's organiser, and matches are played in private Rocket League matches.

I play on console, can I take part?

Yes, as long as your Epic Games username is in your profile: that's what sign-up asks for. You can also add your Xbox gamertag or PSN ID so opponents can find you more easily.

What is the Prestige Ranking?

It's Strive's ranking. Every tournament awards Prestige based on your final placement: 500 to the winner of a standard tournament, down to 10 for 30th place. Your permanent team's Prestige grows with yours, and part of it is reset every new season.

How is Strive funded?

Strive shows no ads. The site is funded on a voluntary basis by its publisher, and tournaments stay free.
